Privacy Policy

House Tabs is built on a simple principle: your home data is yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

• Email address — used to sign you in and send reminders. Nothing else.
• Home details — home type, ZIP code, year built, square footage, and the features you tell us about (e.g. central AC, wood stove). All optional.
• Item records — names, categories, make, model, serial numbers, dates, photos, notes, and anything else you log. You control what you share.
• Contacts — service provider names, phone numbers, and emails you add manually. We do not import your phone contacts.
• Usage data — basic, anonymized signals (e.g. pages visited) to understand how the product is being used. No tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.

What we never do

• Sell your data to anyone, ever.
• Share your home details with advertisers or data brokers.
• Use your content to train AI or machine learning models.
• Add third-party tracking scripts (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel).
• Show you ads.

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the House Tabs service: storing your records, surfacing maintenance reminders, and letting you retrieve your home information when you need it. We may send you transactional emails (magic links, reminder notifications). We do not send marketing email without your explicit opt-in.

Where data is stored

House Tabs is built on Supabase, a US-based infrastructure provider. Your data is stored in the United States. Photos and documents are stored in Supabase Storage with access controlled per-account.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. No third-party cookies are set by House Tabs.

Your rights

You can:

• Export your data — available in Settings (coming soon).
• Delete your account — available in Settings. All your data is removed within 30 days.
• Request a copy of your data or ask questions about what we hold by emailing us directly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will notify you by email before they take effect.
